Deadshot, whose real name is Floyd Lawton, is an expert marksman and weapons specialist, and is known for being the deadliest gun-for-hire in the world.

He has a reputation for never missing a single shot, and utilizing a pair of silenced, wrist-mounted 9mm cannons. Deadshot disdains himself almost as much as his corrupt targets; several prison psychologists have diagnosed him with suicidal tendencies.

Batman is the only person who has made Deadshot miss. This distinction has put Batman at the top of Deadshot's hit-list.

Contract killerEdit

Deadshot was one of the eight assassins hired by the Joker to kill Batman. Deadshot hired his best marksmen and took several hostages inside the Gotham Bank. After clearing the room of the gunmen, and avoiding Deadshot's expert shots, Batman took down the assassin.[1]

Breakout at BlackgateEdit

Deadshot was hired by Black Mask, the Penguin and the Joker, without the knowledge of each other's employment, to protect them from cops and "whatever-else". After dodging several of Deadshot's high-powered rifle shots and his gauntlet barrage, Batman took him out with his Line Launcher. Deadshot and Bronze Tiger were later retrieved by Rick Flag and Amanda Waller to join the Suicide Squad.[2]

Arkham CityEdit

While being imprisoned in Arkham City, Deadshot was hired by Hugo Strange to kill political prisoners, Jack Ryder, Bruce Wayne and Batman. Batman deduced Ryder as Deadshot's next victim and saved him, causing Deadshot to miss. Infuriated, Deadshot called Batman out to a final showdown. Batman used the rooftop's shrubbery to hide from Deadshot, slowly making his way into a vent system underneath the marksman. Making short work of Deadshot, Batman disarmed him and locked him in a rail car hanging above the streets.[3]

  • Deadshot's contract in Arkham City seems relatively pointless, given that Protocol 10 was intended to kill all of Arkham City's inmates anyway.
  • Deadshot's firing position in Arkham Origins when he takes out the helicopter is located on the same building on which Batman defeats him in Arkham City.
