Frank Boles was a corrupt Arkham Asylum guard and part-time henchman of Joker. After Batman and James Gordon were separated, Frank took the opportunity to knock Gordon unconscious and drag his body out of the Asylum. After tricking the guards posted in the Intensive Treatment Lobby to cover the front door, Boles killed them and yelled for Harley Quinn to bring Gordon in. Batman tracked Boles' whiskey scent to the lobby. Outliving his usefulness, Batman found Boles' corpse tied to a gurney with a "Dead End" sign.
