Nora Fries is the wife of Mister Freeze, who was at that time a mere shy yet brilliant cryogenicist called Victor Fries.
However, tragedy struck when she fell victim to a rare and incurable decease. Victor used his lab to freeze her into a state of suspended animation until he could find a cure. Since then, even years after her initial freezing, she has been trapped between life and death.
Victor has since taken on the criminal identity of Mister Freeze, willing to break every law in his search to find a cure for his wife.
